Onda Brava | Cinsault | Itata Valley, Chile | 2019
Onda Brava is an all-star collaboration between Dani Rozman of La Onda and Leonardo Erazo of Rogue Vine / A Los Viñateros Bravos. In the Northern Hemisphere, Dani makes wine in the Sierra Nevada Foothills under his other label, La Onda. He believes in cool climates, granitic soils, and old vines… something both Itata and the Sierra Foothills have. Both labels are some of the more exciting up-and-coming producers to keep an eye on!
🤝🧑 Pair with: BBQ, chile-based Indian dishes (as opposed to herbaceous ones like Saag), Moroccan Chicken, mediterranean food, roasted veggies, pizza, charcuterie
🌱 Farming: Organic
🍇 Grape Variety: Cinsault, the lesser known blending grape from S France
🧑🏼🌾 Winemaker: Dani Rozman, Leo Erazo
🌎 Region: Itata, Chile
🌡 Serve: Slightly Chilled
🤓 More Nerdy Stuff:
80 year old vines? Si por favor! Although Cinsault is typically used in blends in the Southern Rhone Valley, Dani and Leonardo think this particular fruit can stand on its own. And we could not agree more!
