Gaspard | Chenin Blanc | Loire Valley, France | 2021
Gaspard is a negociant project with Natural Wine importer, Jenny and Francois. They collaborate with some of their most trusted growers in the Loire Valley to create Gaspard- a label that brings you wines that are kind to both nature and your wallet!
All the Gaspard wines are made with indigenous Loire Valley grapes- Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Noir, Cabernet Franc, Pineau d’aunis, and Gamay. The wines are fermented with native yeast, spend a couple of months on their fine lees and then undergo only light filtration and fining.
The Chenin Blanc come from 30-50 year old vines grown in clay and limestone soils.
The joyful labels are the creations of a Parisian artist that Jenny met there. “Gaspard” is a traditional French boy’s name that means “bringer of treasure” – a fitting title for these easy-drinking gifts that keep on giving.
